The Famicombox is a little piece of video game hardware history that I’d never heard about before – and neither have you I’m willing to bet!

Having just painted the inside of our house, I’ve been deathly afraid of even TOUCHING the walls, lest I leave behind some kind of scratch or smudge or any mark that would mar the otherwise perfect surface.
Today I discovered the Paint Buddy, any my fears have evaporated. This is genius!
Typical paint touch-up process:

* Paint
* Wash off paintbrush and clean up any stray paint

They’re only about $8 each. I think I’ll pick some up today!
Google Earth is now FREE! They scrapped the subscription fee.
But it’s not all sunshine and candy canes! They lowered the resolution of the satellite photos in the free version. Now they’re only about as good as what you can view in Google Maps.
update: It looks like you can still pay $20 a year to get those super-sweet high-res satellite photos. I knew it was too good to be true!
Say goodbye to black and white iPods!
All iPods are now color-screened iPod Photos! In fact, the term ‘iPod Photo’ is gone now. 20 and 60GB sizes are available.
iPod minis still use monochrome displays, but why throw your money away on one of those? 6GB? Does anyone really have a music collection that’s less than 6GB?
For the completist with deep pockets:
Every original 8-bit Nintendo cartridge released in the USA (minus 10): $5600 on ebay.
The Penguin Classics Library Complete Collection – 1082 books. $7900 on Amazon.
If you get the urge to replace a faucet on your own instead of calling a plumber to save a little cash, I’m here to tell you that’s a bad idea.
I embarked on this journey at 6 this evening and didn’t finish until 11. The 45 minute job I had envisioned wound up taking five hours! The faucet looks great, works, great and there’s no leaks, but I really didn’t need to spend five hours of my life installing it.
Granted, I’d never done it before so it’d probably go a little quicker next time, but I’m pretty sure that for any of my future faucet replacement needs I’ll be calling in the pros.
In 2003 Disney sold the Anaheim Angels to an Arizona businessman. Last week they sold The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for a cool $75 million.
At only $99, Dell’s new Laser Printer 1100 is the cheapest 600dpi laser printer on the market. 2000 page refill cartridges are $65.
Not bad, not bad at all! But if you’re still buying printers without ethernet connections, you’re crazy!
PSP-Dev has refined their PSP ‘swaploit’ to be a true no-swap-required exploit. They’re releasing it tomorrow.
