Disney Premier Passports

The Disney parks in Anaheim and Orlando are run very differently by two very different (and very large) management teams whose relationship could only be described as mildly adversarial.

The number one question I get asked about my Disneyland pass is “Does it work in Florida too?” And the answer was always “Nope!”

But against all odds, that’s changed. Sort of.

At the shareholders meeting this week, they announced the Disney Premier Passport. It’s an annual pass that grants premium-level admission to all six parks (and more) on both coasts. It also includes discounts on food, merchandise, lodging, and all the other stuff included with Premium annual passes.

$700 a year is too rich for my blood, but with Disneyland’s Premium pass at $439 and WDW’s Premium at $619, it’s a savings of $358.

It’s not a bad deal if you are both rich and work in the hotel and/or airline industry.

where is my milk from?

Every container of milk sold in the US contains a hyphenated four-digit code printed near the expiration date that identifies the dairy where it was produced or processed.

whereismymilkfrom.com deciphers that code.

My 1% cheapo milk comes from the Kroger Creamery in Compton, California. Kate’s organic whole milk comes from a place called Model Dairy in Reno, Nevada.

I drink ghetto milk.

Trolololololololololo

The mysterious and bizarre Trolololololololololo song that’s been sweeping the Internet was performed by a Russian baritone named Eduard Khil.

He’s still alive and he even has a website (in Russian). Let Google handle the translation for you. You can even leave a message to thank him for his creepiness on the guestbook.

Pretty flowers

Check out these photos from last Wednesday, the opening day of Epcot’s 2010 Flower and Garden Festival.

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

It’s like a stationary Rose Parade that lasts two months every year.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie trailer made to promote a book, but here you go. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

You can buy it now at Amazon. While you’re there, check out the author’s other book, a New York Times Bestseller – Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Tim Burton has signed on to turn Lincoln into a real movie.
