The Wii’s Virtual Console has been hacked to pieces.

You can find pirated VC games at your favorite torrent sites and install them with nothing more than a copy of Zelda and a buffer-overflow exploit loaded on an SD card. The
entire process is dead easy, takes just minutes, and you don’t even need a modchip!
Retail disc-based games are immune to piracy without a modchip, but with homebrew software like emulators now installable on unmodified consoles, I would guess that some kind of ISO loader is not far off.
This whole thing is probably easily detectable, but what’s Nintendo going to do? Ban you from their gimped, practically worthless, nearly non-existent “online network”? Oh noes.

The Xbox Live experience, distilled down to a 3 minute video orientation.
Q: “How can you spot a cheater?”
A: “Basically…if they’re better than you. If someone’s kicking your ass in Halo, they’re probably cheating. Or gay.”

“I like to practice my thinking in a darkened room, alone. I focus on one thing, such as Tree. I think about Tree. Then, after that, I think about Cloud. Then later, as I walk outside, I see Tree and since I have practiced thinking, I avoid hitting it. I try and have six or seven thoughts a day.”
- Steve Carell on How to Act Brilliant
There’s this lady on the Internet who’s a big fan of The Office. She runs a fansite called Office Tally.
She’s such a big fan that NBC has invited her to hang out on the set of the show for the last two seasons!
There’s plenty of photos in her blog entry from Sunday. Neato!

Abridged My Name Is Earl Episode Guide:

Seasons One and Two: Hilarious hijinx all around. The show is fresh, funny, and endearing. Nearly every episode is memorable and the writing is great.
Season Three: The writers decide to throw Earl in prison for what feels like the entire season. Predictably, the show starts to suck and get a little boring. Once Earl is released from prison the writers decide to dig themselves an even bigger hole of suckage by throwing Earl into a coma. Viewers are forced to watch his friends work on his list while he has constant flashbacks.
Season Four: I fire all the writers and fix things myself. (Note: This is just a prediction.)

Once a year our homeowners association holds an election for open positions on the board of directors. You can either vote at the annual meeting or through a secret ballot sent to you in the mail.
I just received this year’s ballot and have to say, I’m considering voting for Leonard Stamper.

I could almost hear the paper shouting at me as I read it. He seems so cranky, and yet so serious!
Other candidates usually write up some fluff piece about them being ‘dedicated to the community’ and making it a ‘better place to live’ and yadda yadda. Leo has made preservation of views his one and only issue.
This tells me it’s something that’s probably been bugging him for a while and “GODDAMN IT WHAT DO I PAY THESE HOA FEES FOR IF I CAN’T SEE DOWNTOWN LA BECAUSE OF THE JOHNSONS’ PALM TREES! I’M GONNA RUN FOR OFFICE AND TEACH THOSE A-HOLES HOW TO RUN A HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, DAG-GUM.”
I don’t have much of a view to speak of, and what little there is isn’t obstructed by trees, but if I did, Leonard would probably be my new best friend….a voice of reason in a sea of indifference.

The writers strike was awesome because it gave us all a chance to catch our breath and start watching shows that we maybe wouldn’t have watched before.
Tammy and I watched Seasons 1 through 3 of Battlestar Galactica pretty much back-to-back over the past few weeks and it is SO GOOD. Seriously. So good. I can’t believe we went so long without ever watching one of the best sci fi shows of the last decade.

Here’s a quick spoiler-loaded
eight-minute recap of seasons 1-3.
The fourth and final season starts TONIGHT! And if you absolutely can’t wait, you can watch the first episode in a tiny window on your computer screen over at http://www.scifi.com/ right NOW!

I found this note written on an ATM deposit envelope along with a bottle of water, sitting in a disposable plastic bowl in the grocery store parking lot last night.

“I’ve been sitting my car waiting for you to come out but had to leave. Please give your puppies some water! It gets hot in your car.”
I glanced around and didn’t see any puppies.
I like it when people are nice. Good samaritans make the world a better place!

I sure hope you’ve added Tammypants.com to your daily blog reading routine. If not, you may have missed out on such gems as…
Easter!
St. Patrick’s Day!

And who could forget… Sheep Appreciation Day! Actually there’s no such thing. Someone just gave us this great outfit.

Honestly, I think this is one of the cutest babies I’ve ever seen. I am totally biased of course, but that cuteness is hard to deny. This is not one of those ugly babies that makes you grimace and hiss through your teeth with pity. This is one of those adorable babies that fills you with happiness! At least that’s what she does to me. Your mileage may vary.
Sometimes I just want to eat her face! It’s a good thing her head doesn’t fit in my mouth – believe me I’ve tried.
