Up until now, every handheld trunking scanner on the market has been a huge, brick-like device.
Uniden recently announced the BC246T – a sub-compact trunk-tracking scanner! That’s never been done before, and most folks thought it would never happen!

Sweet mother of God! That thing is damn tiny! Just 4.5″ tall! And boy howdy it looks gorgeous. Support for long alpha tags appears to be part of the package too!
I’ll tell you this much – once this thing hits the streets I’m selling my Icom R2 and upgrading.

Culdcept is a popular series of video games in Japan. It’s like a cross between Monopoly and Magic The Gathering.
Last year NEC brought Culdcept to the US on the PS2 as a very limited release – just 30,000 copies – making it basically impossible to find a rental store that carries it nowadays. Luckily I was able to track down a copy last week and Brother, this is one sweet game.
You know how every now and then there’s a really cool game that sort of slips under the radar and you wind up never hearing about it? I think Culdcept is one of those unsung heroes!
Just look at these reviews:
Deeko.com: 9/10
Gamespy: 2003 Top Ten Games of the Year
Gamespy: 4.5/5
IGN: 8.7/10
Gamespot: 7.9/10 (idiots)
Do your best to track this game down before it disappears forever!
The Farscape miniseries trailer is up on Apple’s QuickTime trailers site right here.
We had our anniversary dinner last night at Napa Rose. As expensive as it may be, the food and service are always excellent. Last night we ate at the chef’s table, which overlooks the whole kitchen…pretty cool!
I haven’t eaten at a ton of restaurants in OC, but of them all Napa Rose has been consistently fantastic. I’d recommend it to anyone!
The Mozilla Calendar has been reborn as a standalone application called Sunbird (0.2), the perfect compliment to Firefox and Thunderbird.
The Rasterbator will take a raster image of any size and blow it up huge so that you can print it out on a bunch of sheets of paper and have big wall-sized posters of your favorite images plastered all over your life.
Take a look through The Gallery to see what people are using it for!
